Texas is set to welcome some new hotels in 2025, giving travelers more options while visiting the Lone Star State.

Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg

Old meets new at the Albert Hotel in Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country. The quaint hotel features 105 guestrooms, a full-service spa, and a restaurant. Located on Main Street in the center of historic downtown Fredericksburg, the hotel’s construction was intentionally designed to preserve the town’s historically protected buildings facing Main Street. The new construction is behind the original historic buildings, creating a peaceful escape just off bustling Main Street.

“This project represents our vision of hospitality,” said Bart Knaggs, CEO of New Waterloo, in a press statement. “The Albert Hotel is more than a property; it’s our love letter to Fredericksburg.”

The hotel features four dining venues: The Restaurant at Albert Hotel showcases Michelin-starred Chef Michael Fojtasek’s seasonal cuisine, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner; The Saloon is a “local watering hole” for guests to enjoy drinks and cocktails; The Pharmacy is a neighborhood market serving coffee, pastries and sandwiches; and Junebugs BBQ is set to debut in spring 2025.

Guestrooms at Albert Hotel range from bunk rooms to suites, including the exclusive Albertina House, a historic private 4-bedroom residence situated on Main Street perfect for families or groups. The Spa at Albert Hotel offers 7 private treatment rooms.

Hotel Granduca Houston

Hotel Granduca, located in Houston’s Uptown Park, is undergoing multi-million dollar renovation before it’s reopening early this year. The renovation will refresh the lobby and dining outlets, with updates to accommodations and guestrooms to follow later this year.

Once completed, the hotel will have a new restaurant, Remi, led by Episcope Hospitality and David Morton of Morton Steakhouse. Adjacent to the restaurant, Bar Remi will offer morning coffee and handcrafted evening cocktails.

The hotel’s 121 suites will maintain their signature antique furnishings, while the Garden Courtyard features landscaped grounds and pool, serving as an ideal spot for relaxation and outdoor dining.
