Sky Bird Launches “#WhyUseATravelAgent” Initiative

Sky Bird

As part of its 50th anniversary, Sky Bird has launched a nationwide campaign aimed at increasing consumer awareness of the value of using travel advisors. The initiative, built around the hashtag #WhyUseATravelAgent, is designed to support the travel advisor community across North America by highlighting the role advisors play in helping clients navigate an increasingly complex travel landscape.

As part of the initiative, Sky Bird has created customizable marketing assets, social media creatives, awareness messaging and supporting collateral that travel agencies can personalize with their own branding and share with their clients.

The initiative marks Sky Bird’s 50 years serving the travel advisor community. Over the past five decades, the company has provided agencies with airfare booking solutions, airline partnerships, booking technology, 24/7 support and access to its WINGS Booking Platform.

“For 50 years, Sky Bird has stood beside the travel advisor community, and we believe now is the right moment to lead a broader industry conversation around the true value travel advisors bring to travelers every single day,” said Norman Knowles, CEO of Sky Bird, in a media statement. “When disruptions happen, travelers quickly realize that technology alone cannot replace experience, advocacy, guidance, and human support. This campaign is about bringing the industry together to remind travelers that professional travel advisors remain one of the most important resources in travel.”

Added Arvin Shah, Chairman of Sky Bird, “Travel advisors are the backbone of this industry, and they deserve greater visibility, stronger advocacy and support. As we celebrate our 50th anniversary, we wanted to mark this milestone by launching an initiative that reflects our long-standing commitment to the travel advisor community. We are proud to help lead efforts that strengthen the profession, elevate its value, and support its continued growth across North America.”
