Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA) has announced details for its 2027 RiverView Conference, which will celebrate its 15th anniversary with a river cruise from Budapest to Vienna. The conference is also featuring a first-time call in Bratislava and a new registration option for advisors seeking a shorter conference experience.
Registration opens Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. during CLIA Cruise Week, which begins Sept. 14. The conference is open to all CLIA member agents and will take place March 5-8, 2027.
As part of the conference, delegates will embark on a two-night sailing from Budapest to Vienna via Bratislava, followed by an overnight in Vienna. The sailing will be hosted aboard one of three ships: AmaSofia, Riviera Radiance or VIVA TWO. Breakfast, dinner and entertainment will be included onboard.
Vienna will host RiverView’s business sessions, along with a guided tour program that will allow advisors to visit ships from Avalon Waterways, TUI River Cruises, Scenic and Riverside Luxury Cruises.
Bratislava Joins the Itinerary
For the first time, RiverView will call in Bratislava, Slovakia, where delegates can attend a networking trade fair and choose from local excursions. The addition gives advisors another opportunity to experience a river cruise destination firsthand while connecting with suppliers and other travel professionals.
New RiverView Lite Option
CLIA is also introducing a new Lite registration option for 2027. Available March 6-8, the shorter program will include RiverView’s business sessions, plus overnight stays on both TUI River Cruises and Avalon Waterways and lunch on Scenic.
The Lite program will also feature a supplier networking afternoon and opportunities to tour several participating river cruise ships. VIVA Cruises will offer an optional two-night pre-conference sailing aboard VIVA TWO. Agents can indicate their interest when registering for RiverView.
CLIA Adds River Cruise Webinar Series
Leading up to RiverView, CLIA will also spotlight river cruise destinations through its “A Week on the Rivers” webinar series, running Oct. 12-16, 2026.
The five-part series will cover:
- Oct. 12: River cruising in Asia
- Oct. 13: The Douro
- Oct. 14: The Nile
- Oct. 15: Christmas Markets
- Oct. 16: Rhine and Danube
Each 40-minute webinar will begin at 9:30 a.m. and feature CLIA and cruise line destination experts. All CLIA member agents are welcome to attend.
