Up Norwayhas quite a few aces up its sleeve for exciting new experiences for your clients, from a new immersive adventure that has them tooling around the city, coast and countryside by electric car and private transfers to a gorgeous railway expedition to the inclusion of three new boutique hotels to their accommodations lineup.

Up Norway’s Coastal, Rural and Urban Norway Journey

This is an 8-day journey that will allow your clients to immerse themselves in local life fully via a slow travel itinerary that begins along the Golden Road of Trondelag region on their own Polestar electric car, takes them to the remote island community of Veiholmen for a stay in a local village home and concludes in the city of Trondheim, a trendy culinary hub that boasts its own Michelin-starred eatery. The entire experience is all about jaw-dropping landscapes, indulgent gastronomy and creating unique memories with the locals.

You can book this journey all year round and it includes all lodging and local transfers, various privately guided tours, some meals and a digital itinerary provided by Up Norway.

Norway by Rail

The Arctic Circle Express Train Journey on Up Norway’s travel menu receives a northern extension that includes stops in Lofoten and a visit to Narvik. Clients begin their 15-night adventure in the capital city of Oslo, where they hop on the train with stops in Bergen, Alesund, Trondheim, Bodo and, now, Lofoten and Narvik. This journey is all about culture, sea- and farm-to-table cuisine, hiking, kayaking, cruising, Arctic surfing and much more, all set against the glorious Norwegian landscape. And did we mention the railways? We’re talking about Europe’s steepest rail line that descends into a fjord, travels through the Romsdalen valley and views of peaks and waterfalls. Accommodations are luxurious and authentic and include boutique hotels and a traditional (upgraded) fisherman’s cabin. For 2024, Up Norway has added an option to stay at the new Basecamp Narvik in the Narvikfjellet Mountains. Without the extension, the base Arctic Circle Express Journey is 11 nights.

Three Boutique Hotels Join Up Norway’s Offer

The view from Elva Hotel.

These newcomers are both luxurious and charming. The Elva Hotel opened in June of this year with only 14 rooms located on a riverbank in Voss for maximum views of the lake, forests and mountains. Outdoor experiences are key, and the reward for breathing in all that fine, fresh air is a gourmet offer that prioritizes locally sourced ingredients.

Deluxe accommodations at Beckerwyc House.

Also opened in June of this year, Beckerwyc House is the brainchild of world champion chef Orjan Johannessen, located outside of Bergen atop a hill overlooking Bekkjarvik harbor. With 20 rooms and the requisite exquisite views, this hotel boasts several terraces (think Jacuzzis at the top of the world) and a top floor created for foodies.

When staying at the Manshausen Seaside Cabins, your clients will find themselves on the remote island of Manshausen in Steigen in one of 9 sea cabins. The complex also includes a main house, a restaurant, a library and a boathouse. There is, of course, a hot tub and sauna to soothe tired limbs after a day of hiking, arctic surfing or exploring with Up Norway and their new journey through Steigen and the Lofoten Islands.
