Avianca is expanding its presence across the United States with a substantial increase in flight frequencies for Summer 2026. The airline will add 42 weekly flights compared with July 2025, raising capacity across several routes and introducing new connections that build on travel demand between the United States, Colombia, Ecuador and Central America.
“This summer, Avianca is taking the U.S. network to the next level by adding more flights on high-demand routes, giving travelers unprecedented flexibility and access to Latin America,” said Rolando Damas, Avianca’s director of sales for North America in a press statement. “Our goal is to make nonstop travel seamless and convenient, connecting passengers to the region’s most vibrant destinations with the reliability and service they expect from Avianca.” Â
Avianca Leads the Way in LatAm
Among the highlights, Avianca will launch a new service linking San Francisco and Guatemala City in June 2026. This addition broadens access between Northern California and Central America. The carrier will also resume several seasonal routes, including Miami–Cali, New York–Pereira, Orlando–Medellin, Las Vegas–San Salvador and Chicago–San Salvador. The network enhancements are designed to align with rising passenger interest linked to next summer’s soccer competition and ongoing growth in leisure and business travel.
The summer schedule adjustments follow Avianca’s continued investment in connectivity for travelers seeking more flexible options. The Guayaquil–Miami route, opening in October 2025, will contribute seven weekly flights to the network. Frequency increases span multiple city pairs, offering more nonstop flights from major U.S. gateways.
