Sales have opened for all 2028 Riviera Travel River Cruises itineraries, covering the Danube, Douro, Rhine, Moselle, Main, Rhone, Seine, Dutch and Mekong waterways, including sailings aboard the new ship Riviera Rhapsody, debuting in April 2028 on the Dutch Waterways and Rhine River. Alongside the 2028 sales launch, the river cruise line has introduced The Riviera Moment, a collection of four exclusive experiences added to select 2028 departures for Riviera guests only.
“The Riviera Moment reflects everything our guests value the most about travel: authentic cultural connections, unique access, and unforgettable experiences that can’t be replicated,” said Stuart Milan, President of North America for Riviera Travel River Cruises, in a press statement. “These events open doors to remarkable venues and experiences reserved solely for our guests, creating memories that will stay with them long after they return home.”
Riviera Cruises’ 2028 Experiences
The earliest of the four experiences begins in March 2028 on the Burgundy, the River Rhone and Provence itinerary, priced from $2,949 per person, where guests will attend a reception and concert at a private villa among the vineyards of Tain-l’Hermitage, opening with a Saint-Peray wine tasting followed by a live musical performance.
Two more experiences begin in April 2028. Guests on The Blue Danube itinerary, priced from $2,649 per person, will receive private access to the House of Strauss in Vienna, including welcome drinks, a classical concert in Strauss Hall and time to explore the Strauss Museum. Separately, travelers on the Seine, Paris and Normandy itinerary, priced from $3,149 per person, will get private access to the Musee des Impressionnismes Giverny, with time to explore the museum and gardens followed by drinks and local canapes in the village of Giverny.
The fourth experience begins in May 2028 on the Rhine Cruise to Switzerland itinerary, priced from $3,349 per person, where guests will visit Kloster Eberbach, a monastery and winery in Germany’s wine country, for a sparkling wine reception, a private tour of the abbey, a regional wine tasting and a private concert in the Romanesque Basilica.
