Aqua Expeditions will add 9 and 12-night sailings to East Indonesia’s Asmat region and West Papua in 2025. The small ship cruises will be aboard the Aqua Blu, a former British Royal Navy Explorer permanently based in East Indonesia.
The 12-night Spice Islands, Raja Ampat, and West Papua Expedition will take guests into East Indonesia where they’ll discover the colonial heritage of the Banda and Spice Islands, the lagoon complexes of Raja Ampat and the wonders of West Papua.
The 9-night West Papua and Asmat Tribe Expedition winds through the Kei Islands and the beaches of Cape Papisol before venturing deep into the West Papua region with cultural exchanges with the Asmat Community. PONANT is offering winter exploration cruises on the St. Lawrence River in Northern Canada from Jan. to Feb. 2025 aboard the Le Commandant Charcot, an icebreaker and hybrid-electric ship. Departing from Saint Pierre Island off the Atlantic Coast, this 13-day expedition includes adventures from kayaking to ice-fishing, dog sledding and skijoring. The itinerary also includes visits to the Innu and Mi’kmaq communities, rare wildlife sightings and a chance to see the Northern Lights. The journey concludes in Quebec City.

NCL is Gearing Up for 2026
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) is offering a wide selection of cruises for its 2026 spring and summer seasons with sailings across Northern Europe, the Mediterranean and the Greek Isles across eight ships. Additional itineraries include the South Pacific, the Western Caribbean, Canada and New England.
The Norwegian Sun will offer 7- to 10-day sailings that embark in Copenhagen, Denmark or Helsinki. The ship visits Norway, Germany, Poland, Lithuania and Sweden. The Norwegian Sky will sail 7-day trips to France, Denmark, Germany, Belgium, the UK and the Netherlands. Travelers looking to take advantage of the long daylight summer sun in Iceland can embark on one of Norwegian Star’s 10- or 11-day Extraordinary Journeys between May and Sept. 2026.
NCL’s newest ship, Norwegian Viva, will cruise 9- and 10-day Western Mediterranean and Greek Isles voyages. A selection of the Greek Isles voyages will also include an overnight stay in Istanbul, Turkey. These itineraries visit Turkey, Malta, Italy, Greece, Montenegro and Croatia. NCL is also offering new 7-day Western Mediterranean sailings abroad the Norwegian Epic, the Norwegian Dawn, the Norwegian Gem and the Norwegian Pearl. Also in 2026, Norwegian Escape will offer guests 7-day, roundtrip sailings to the Western Caribbean from New Orleans and Miami. Both itineraries include stops to Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; and Harvest Caye, NCL’s 75-acre destination in Southern Belize. The ship is also sailing 7-day, roundtrip Canada & New England voyages from New York City and Boston, the first time a Breakaway Plus class ship stops in New England. The itinerary takes cruisers through Portland, Maine; Saint John, New Brunswick and Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada.
Cruisers can sail on the Norwegian Spirit into the South Pacific for 11- and 13-day voyages to Fiji, the Samoa Islands and Hawaii. For travelers looking to explore Alaska and Hawaii, named NCL’s Fire and Ice voyages, Norwegian Spirit will offer 16-day sailings that embark in Honolulu or Vancouver, Canada.
