As schools and other educational facilities have temporarily closed to mitigate the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic, Busch Gardens Tampa Bay has made its standards-aligned educational resources available online to help families discover nature from their homes. In addition to its educational value, this is a great tool to send to your family clients to keep them excited about future family vacation bookings.

Busch Gardens distance learning resources are available for parents, students and teachers and provide hands-on, creative activities and instruction that can help everyone continue to explore, discover and stay connected. The resources include:

Classroom Activities K-12
Science and conservation-themed activity downloads for students and educators, suitable for grades K-4, 5-8 and 9-12.

Teachers Guides
Immersive guides developed at SeaWorld and Busch Gardens to help students understand how we can best care for our Earth’s resources. Each guide includes goals and objectives, information, vocabulary, a bibliography, and classroom activities. Activities strive to integrate science, mathematics, geography, art, and language, and cover subjects such as arctic animals, endangered species and ocean discovery.

Saving a Species Video Series
This 8-part video series brings students face-to-face with the wonders of wildlife through species-focused episodes focusing on cheetahs, elephants, the ocean, penguins, polar bears, sea turtles, tigers and wolves. Accessible in the school classroom via DVD and computer, and on-the-go through tablet and hand-held devices.

Animal Bytes
Each “byte” is a 1-page fact sheet specifically designed to help students and educators quickly find information about some of the interesting creatures found in the animal kingdom. Most species files include scientific classification, basic physical traits, fun facts, and conservation/ecological value.

Animal InfoBooks
InfoBooks are a valuable resource for wildlife information on a wide range of species and subjects. Explore the in-depth details about animals, environments, conservation issues and more.
