Hyatt to Open First Turks & Caicos Hotel With Andaz in 2027

Hyatt will open its first hotel in Turks & Caicos in Spring 2027, when Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay debuts as the Andaz brand’s first resort on a Caribbean island, with 59 guestrooms within a 132-key property that also includes branded residences.

Andaz: Sense of Place

The resort will sit on Grace Bay, nearer Bight Reef than any other resort, with its west-facing orientation offering a sunset view rarely available on Providenciales. Referencing the islands’ early days, when visitors arrived only by boat, RAD Architecture’s arrival will lead guests through a wood-lined corridor framed like an overturned boat’s skeleton 15 feet over the water. Modus Operandi worked with Hyatt on interiors of local stone and hardwoods, with headboards reinterpreting the striped traditional dress of Turks & Caicos.

“We want the surrounding setting to shape the experience from the moment guests arrive,” said Matt Skaletsky, General Manager, Andaz Turks & Caicos at Grace Bay, in a press statement. “The architecture, materials, art and details throughout the resort all draw from the character of Turks & Caicos, while the experiences and collaborations will bring guests closer to the place itself. The result is a property that will give guests a deeper sense of the destination.”

Guestrooms will balance wide views and indoor-outdoor layouts with privacy, using teak, textured fabrics and Caribbean art. The four eateries include a lobby bar pouring cocktails based on a centuries-old punch tradition; Tamara, an indoor-outdoor oceanfront restaurant serving daily brunch and dinner; Baie, a two-level poolside bar; and Palmette, a cafe that doubles as a market for locally made goods.

The 7,000-sq.-ft. Runa Spa & Wellness will have five treatment rooms, Nordic-style thermal sequences and a recovery room with compression boots and red light therapy, and its treatments will use local salt, a nod to the islands’ salt-making history. Pamela Leach, a local artist, directed the art for the reef-themed Kids Club, and the grounds will add three pools, tennis and pickleball courts and wedding space.

Activities will include private charters, sunset cruises and snorkeling, with the Island Fish Fry and Junkanoo Museum nearby. The resort is a founding partner in the Reef Keeper Conservation Partnership with the Turks & Caicos Reef Fund, whose projects included a 2025 buoy system shielding Bight Reef’s coral.

Why It Matters

Turks & Caicos is outpacing the wider region this year. The Caribbean Tourism Organization reported that Caribbean stayover arrivals grew 1.9 percent in the first half of 2026, while Experience Turks and Caicos counted 494,466 stayover visitors from January through August, a 5 percent rise over the same period last year. With that demand holding, advisors can present the Andaz as a new Grace Bay hotel option for Spring 2027 and beyond.
