Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) has opened two new Mediterranean sailings aboard Norwegian Aura, its newest and largest ship. The additional voyages will give guests the first opportunities to sail aboard the ship, beginning May 2, 2027.
Two New Mediterranean Itineraries
The 10-day inaugural sailing will visit Dubrovnik and Split, Croatia; Bar, Montenegro; and Corfu, Santorini and Mykonos, Greece. The 9-day voyage will call on Rhodes, Mykonos, Santorini and Corfu, Greece; Bar, Montenegro; and Split and Zadar, Croatia.
Following the two inaugural sailings, Norwegian Aura will depart Trieste on May 21 for a 7-day Mediterranean voyage to Barcelona, Spain. Ports of call include Valletta, Malta; Salerno, Italy; and Rome, Italy.
The ship will then cross the Atlantic on a 13-day transatlantic voyage from Barcelona to Miami before beginning 7-day Eastern Caribbean cruises in June 2027.
What to Know About Norwegian Aura
Norwegian Aura will be NCL’s largest and longest ship to date, approximately 10 percent larger than Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna.
Among the ship’s signature features is Ocean Heights, a multi-deck outdoor activities complex spanning decks 18 through 21. The area will include Eclipse Racers, NCL’s first dueling mat racer waterslides; the Aura Free Fall body waterslide; an 82-foot Aura Ropes Course; the Moon Climber obstacle course; and Aura Midway, featuring carnival-style games.
Dining and wellness additions include Tamara, the cruise line’s first specialty Indian restaurant; The Panorama Room, an immersive complimentary dining venue; and an expanded Mandara Spa with the cruise industry’s most expansive Thermal Suite and the first-at-sea Sensory Rain Pool. Entertainment will include Whitney: A Celebration of Whitney Houston, developed in partnership with the Estate of Whitney E. Houston.
Future Sailings and Booking Offer
Following its Mediterranean and transatlantic itineraries, Norwegian Aura will sail 7-day Eastern Caribbean itineraries from Miami from June through October 2027, visiting Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands; Tortola, British Virgin Islands; and Great Stirrup Cay in the Bahamas, NCL’s private island destination.
For winter 2027/28, the ship is scheduled to offer 7-day Western Caribbean cruises calling on Roatan, Honduras; Costa Maya and Cozumel, Mexico; and Harvest Caye in Belize.
Travel advisors can also take advantage of NCL’s announced Fall Flash Sale for eligible bookings. The offer includes 50 percent off all cruises and up to $750 in onboard credit per stateroom when booking a balcony stateroom or higher.
The promotion can be combined with the Free at Sea package, which includes unlimited open bar, specialty dining meals, excursion credits and WiFi.
