Norwegian Cruise Line is bringing the music of Whitney Houston to the high seas when Norwegian Aura debuts in May 2027.
The cruise line has unveiled the ship’s entertainment lineup, led by “Whitney: A Celebration of Whitney Houston,” a new production developed in partnership with The Estate of Whitney E. Houston and Primary Wave Music.
The 45-minute show will combine live vocals, a live band and large-scale visuals inside the ship’s three-story Aura Theatre & Club. Guests can expect performances of Houston favorites including “I Will Always Love You,” “I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)” and “It’s Not Right, But It’s OK.”
The production continues NCL‘s recent focus on shows inspired by some of music’s biggest names. “Whitney: A Celebration of Whitney Houston” follows the line’s Prince production aboard Norwegian Aqua and Elton John production aboard Norwegian Luna.
More Entertainment Aboard Norwegian Aura
Whitney Houston won’t be the only headliner on Norwegian Aura. The ship’s entertainment lineup will also include several original productions and live music experiences.
“ILLUMINOX: Infinite Wonder Unboxed” will combine illusion, acrobatics, original music and visual effects. Meanwhile, “The Vinyl Republic” will bring live music beyond the theater, with performances spanning country, rock, funk, blues and pop.
The collective will headline two signature shows: “The Vinyl Republic’s Journey Through Rock,” focused on Journey and the arena-rock era, and “The Vinyl Republic’s Kickin’ It Country,” a late-night country party with live music and line dancing.
For nightlife, “LunaTique: Pop Circus” will return following its debut aboard Norwegian Luna. The adults-only experience combines cabaret, circus acts, live music and cocktails and will be available for an additional cost.
Norwegian Aura will also feature “Aura FIRST NIGHT,” a welcome showcase introducing the ship’s entertainment lineup, and “Latin LIVE!”, a poolside celebration featuring live percussion, vocalists, dancers and Latin hits.
