The American Society of Travel Advisors (ASTA) has announced a new partnership with Royal Caribbean International in celebration of the brand’s Travel Partner Appreciation Month. The collaboration underscores the value of ASTA membership while spotlighting the role of travel advisors in today’s marketplace.
As part of the initiative, ASTA members who join or renew in September will gain access to exclusive rates on more than 100 Royal Caribbean sailings. These cruises range from 2 to 8 nights and include itineraries to Mexico, the Caribbean and the Bahamas.
Additionally, for every “Appreciation” booking made, Royal Caribbean will contribute $50 to the ASTA Advocacy Fund, which supports ASTA’s efforts to protect and advance the travel advisor community at the federal, state, and local levels.
“Royal Caribbean has been a steadfast partner to travel advisors, and this initiative underscores the strength of our industry when we work together,” said Michael Schottey, ASTA Vice President of Membership, Marketing and Communications, in a media statement. “By rejoining or renewing your membership, not only do you unlock these discounted cruise rates, but you also strengthen ASTA’s ability to advocate, educate, and elevate the travel advisor profession.”
The offer is open exclusively to ASTA members who join or renew their membership this month. Members who complete their enrollment by September 30, 2025, will receive follow-up communication from ASTA with instructions on how to access the Appreciation Rates.
This partnership provides travel advisors with a limited-time incentive to maintain or renew ASTA membership while also securing access to discounted Royal Caribbean sailings. At the same time, each booking contributes to ASTA’s ongoing advocacy efforts, reinforcing the collective strength of the advisor community.
New Member-Driven Website
ASTA has relaunched its flagship website, offering a fresh, member-driven design that reflects the travel advisor community. The new ASTA.org is a completely new platform built to showcase and serve the professionals in the travel industry.
ASTA’s website redesign replaces stock imagery with real member photos, creating a more authentic experience while streamlining Advocacy and Membership resources for easier navigation. Membership content now guides potential, new and established members through profiles, resources and benefits, while the refreshed Member Advantage Program (MAP) uses a more visual format to showcase partnerships and perks.
A new Industry Affairs hub centralizes tools on issues like hotel commissions and NCF policies, and the Verified Travel Advisor (VTA) program is now fully integrated, allowing members one sign-on for seamless access across ASTA.org.
