Horton brings over two decades of experience in the cruise industry to Riviera Travel. His career includes 14 years at Regent Seven Seas Cruises and five years at Silversea Cruises. Now, Horton is set to apply his knowledge to the burgeoning river cruise market. Known for his collaborative leadership style, Horton emphasizes the importance of building a strong, cohesive team. His approach has proven effective, with many employees following him from previous roles due to his approachable management style.

“I am thrilled to join the team at this stage of Riviera’s journey as there is much opportunity ahead for expansion in the North American market; coming onboard at this pivotal moment feels like stepping into a new frontier,” said Horton in a press statement.

One of Horton’s primary objectives is to adapt Riviera’s U.K.-based operational protocols to better serve the U.S. market. Drawing on his extensive experience in cruise line operations, Horton and his team plan to enhance brand efficiency and improve communication methods to provide superior support to travel advisors across North America. The new U.S. headquarters, located on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale, will serve as the operational hub for Riviera’s U.S. team. Open six days a week, the office will offer real-time support to travel advisors.

Horton’s long-term vision includes doubling the size of Riviera’s team and establishing the brand as a leading river cruise option by 2026. He anticipates this year will mark a turning point in the company’s market dominance.
