Lisa Simundson has held editorial management positions at a variety of consumer and trade publications, including multiple titles for Worth International Media since 1995; and Meetings Today, where she was the Florida & Caribbean Editor for 13 years. Lisa is a longtime travel writer, with a special focus on Florida and the Caribbean as well as the Southeast U.S. and Central America. During her freelance years, she worked directly with Visit Florida, writing collateral pieces and brochures for the then-director of marketing. She also contributed to the annual visitors’ guides for Greater Miami, Naples FL, Sarasota (for WIMG) and Gulf Shores, AL, and wrote her own guidebook on Miami and the Keys. She was an adjunct faculty member at Miami-Dade College and Johnson and Wales North Miami, teaching ESL and remedial English, respectively. She also has volunteered her skills for a number of non-profits, including the Children’s Home Society in Miami and the French Cable Station Museum in Orleans, MA.
