Melia Hotels International will return to Mexico City on June 8, 2026, with the opening of INNSiDE Mexico Roma Norte, marking the debut of its INNSiDE brand in the capital. Positioned in the heart of Roma Norte, one of the city’s most creative and design-focused districts, the new property strengthens Melia’s footprint in Latin America.

“With INNSiDE, we reinforce our commitment to the growing bleisure market and to a traveler seeking creativity, flexibility, and an authentic local experience,” said Gabriel Escarrer, Chairman and CEO of Melia Hotels International, in a press statement.

Melia Makes INNroads in CDMX

Roma Norte, known for its tree-lined streets, diverse architecture and energetic dining and arts scene, provides a great setting for INNSiDE’s blend of work and leisure. The hotel’s opening aligns with increasing demand for bleisure travel, as professionals extend trips to experience more of a destination’s local life. The neighborhood’s central location provides quick access to Condesa, Paseo de la Reforma and landmarks such as Chapultepec Castle and the historic Zocalo. The area is also home to restaurants, cafes and galleries.

The 91 guestrooms will feature contemporary design with an emphasis on natural light and city views. Select guestrooms include kitchenettes and refrigerators, catering to guests who stay longer or travel frequently.

At the center of the hotel is its Open Living Lounge, a multipurpose space designed for working, socializing, or taking a break throughout the day. Amenities include a Grab & Go cafe, fitness center and lifestyle-focused services. A curated activities program will reflect Mexico City’s art, food and cultural heritage. Later in the year, the hotel will introduce a rooftop restaurant and bar with panoramic views of the city.

The launch of INNSiDE Mexico Roma Norte coincides with a wave of international attention on Mexico City as it prepares to co-host the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The opening also marks continued growth for Melia Hotels International in Mexico, its second-largest market by revenue and staffing. The company’s existing portfolio spans Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Riviera Maya, Cozumel, Puerto Vallarta and Los Cabos. Additional developments include Zel Cozumel, opening this year, the renovated Paradisus Cancun and an upcoming property in San Miguel de Allende under its luxury brand ME by Melia.
