Paradisus Cancun has reopened following a $50 million renovation. Located along the beachfront in Cancun, the property, operated by Melia Hotels International, retains its pyramid-style architecture and now features 773 redesigned suites, along with new amenities, dining venues and family programming.
A Landmark Redesign Rooted in Experience
“The reopening of Paradisus Cancun embodies our commitment to elevating luxury experiences in the world’s most sought-after destinations,” said Gabriel Escarrer Jaume, Chairman and CEO of Melia Hotels International, in a media statement.
Guests now have access to a range of activities inspired by Mayan heritage, including artisan-led workshops, cooking classes and pre-Hispanic-inspired performances incorporating sound, scent and ritual. Wellness also plays a central role, with offerings such as beachfront yoga and sound healing sessions integrated throughout the resort’s programming.
Expanded Amenities for Families and Adults
New additions for families include the Aquazone, a splash park designed for younger guests, and the reimagined Kidsdom kids club, which features interactive, educational programming tailored by age group.
Adults, meanwhile, can access more exclusive experiences through the resort’s premium offerings. The Reserve, an adults-only concept, features exclusive lounges, pools and dining venues, while the Family Concierge program caters to upscale family travel with enhanced services, dedicated concierge support and reserved areas.
Culinary & Wellness Transformation Across the Resort
The resort now includes nine new dining concepts and seven bar venues, such as Vibra, which offers contemporary cuisine, and Kao, featuring modern Japanese dishes. Zesty focuses on comfort food, while the Gastro Hall presents a mix of local and international flavors in a buffet-style environment.
Several existing restaurants have also been reimagined. Sal now operates as an oceanfront steakhouse, Capella delivers a more intimate Italian dining experience and Agua Marina highlights coastal Mexican seafood. Guest favorites like Blue Agave and Sante have also been refreshed, with the latter remaining exclusive to The Reserve guests.
The YHI Spa anchors the wellness offering, featuring treatment cabins, hydrotherapy facilities, sauna and steam rooms, as well as a fitness program that includes spinning and other classes.
As an all-inclusive property, the resort packages accommodations, dining, 24-hour room service and daily minibar replenishment. Guests also have access to multiple pools, pickleball courts and a fitness center.
