Downtown Las Vegas has a whole new vibe for your clients to check out, starting with the excitement up and down the Fremont East District.
Fremont East District offers comedy clubs, blues and jazz nightclubs, and other musical entertainment venues and fun hangouts.
The two newest additions to Fremont East are the Commonwealth and Backstage Bar & Billiards. The Commonwealth brings a classic East Coast pub atmosphere downtown with dark woods and eclectic furniture, as well as hand-crafted cocktails. Backstage Bar & Billiards is part billiards lounge, part rock ’n’ roll museum with experienced DJs and live music acts. The decor is eclectic with an homage to subculture featuring furniture by rock outfitter Anvil Cases, collector items from historical rock ’n’ roll concerts and a music library covering eight decades. The venue is literally backstage from the Fremont Country Club, a state-of-the-art concert venue which opens in early 2013.
Other popular clubs, bars and attractions in this area include Don’t Tell Mama Piano Bar, Downtown Cocktail Room, Vanguard Lounge, Emergency Arts Building, Beauty Bar, and The Griffin and Insert Coin(s) Videolounge Gamebar, where guests can party in gorgeous, custom VIP gaming booths with cocktail/bottle service and the game and console of their choice. They can also take a trip down memory lane via the 60 vintage restored cabinets of the past featuring everything from Ms. Pac Man to Street Fighter II to Tetris.
Your clients can have a great time downtown at the Fremont Street Experience as well. Start with a meal at Oscar’s inside the iconic dome of the Plaza Hotel and Casino. The decor of Oscar’s is glamorous and incorporates memorabilia from Oscar Goodman’s 12-year tenure as mayor and classic photographs of Las Vegas over the years. Oscar’s steakhouse features perfectly aged steaks cooked over a 600-degree grill.
Then have them take a spin through the new D Las Vegas and its great lineup of entertainment, two floors of gaming, several dining choices, three trendy bars and one of the best vantage points for the Fremont Street Experience light and sound show.
While your clients are downtown, have them check out The Mob Museum, an interactive museum dedicated to the history of organized crime and law enforcement. And later this year, get ready for “Slotzilla,” an all-new zip-lining thrill ride.
