Chichagof Dream, scheduled to set sail on its inaugural voyage in June 2016, features four decks and 37 staterooms, as well as new carpets and furnishings in guest suites and communal spaces. Guests can soak up the local culture on the 9-day Alaska’s Inside Passage Sojourn itinerary while visiting various towns, including Metlakatla, a borough that is home to the indigenous Tsimshian community; and Thorne Bay, a city once hailed as the largest logging camp in the world. Naturalists and cultural heritage guides share the area’s history and general information with guests during the tours. Onboard books on Alaska’s history, Alaska-made products and spirits, and chef-prepared dishes made with local ingredients and seafood are highlighted. Rates start at $4,519. All bookings made before Oct. 31 receive a 3 percent discount. For more information and additional itineraries, visit alaskandreamcruises.com.
