Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel

Perched on the south bank of the Douro River in Vila Nova de Gaia, the new five-star Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel spans nearly five acres, offering views of Porto, the Douro River and the iconic Luis I Bridge.

Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia Hotel Suite.

Designed to resemble the Douro Valley vineyards, this hillside retreat immerses guests in Portugal’s rich wine heritage. Situated in Vila Nova de Gaia’s historic Port wine district, the hotel provides easy access to Gaia’s vibrant riverbank, lined with restaurants, bars and shops. Porto’s historic center is a short walk away, while Devesas train station and Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport ensure convenient transportation.

As part of Minor Hotels, Tivoli Hotels & Resorts is recognized for its cultural authenticity. The Tivoli Kopke Porto Gaia is its eighth property in Portugal, further expanding the brand’s European footprint.

The property is divided into three areas—Vintage, Tawny and White—surrounding a refurbished Kopke Port wine cellar, home to over 528,000 gallons of aging wine. Soon to open for guests, the cellar will host immersive experiences and exclusive tastings.

Boa Vista Terrace, breakfast area.

The hotel features 149 guestrooms and suites, along with two exceptional dining venues led by Michelin-starred Spanish chef Nacho Manzano. 1638 Restaurant & Wine Bar offers an 11-course tasting menu celebrating the Douro region, while Boa Vista Terrace serves casual, ocean-inspired dishes with panoramic views of Porto.

Amenities include an outdoor heated pool, Tivoli Spa and Tivoli Shape fitness center, as well as 2.2 acres of lush gardens. The Tivoli Spa offers treatments incorporating local elements, including a unique wine-infused experience, and features top-tier brands such as Natura Bisse and Hydrafacial.

The Newman

The Newman, the first hotel from the international hospitality management company Kinsfolk & Co, is scheduled to open this summer. London-based Pernille Lind and Richy Almond of Lind + Almond lead the design of the 81-bedroom hotel.

The Newman.

“We chose to partner with Lind + Almond because they truly understood our values and design vision for The Newman,” commented Paul Brackley, Founder & CEO of Kinsfolk & Co., in a press statement.

Guestrooms and suites will feature deep hues of dark red and green, rich wood tones and olishes of stainless steel to give an Art Deco, contemporary feel. A standout feature will be the Penthouse Suite featuring a private terrace with sweeping views over the city skyline.

Gambit Bar.

Open from breakfast through to late evening, Brasserie Adeline is designed to be welcoming and accessible, rather than exclusive, serving as a vibrant hub for both residents and visitors. Gambit Bar is envisioned to be a hidden den, an intimate space that invites guests to relax and unwind.
