American Airlines Adds New Routes for Winter Escapes

American Airlines is making winter travel planning easier with new routes and expanded service to top vacation destinations. Later this year, the airline will launch new flights to Cancun, Mexico (CUN) and Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (PUJ), while also increasing service to Hawaii, South America and Europe.

“American’s comprehensive global network is designed to give customers more access to the destinations they want to visit,” said Brian Znotins, American’s Senior Vice President of Network Planning, in a media statement. “With new routes, additional flights on popular routes and extended seasonal service to major destinations, our schedule is built for travelers looking to escape to sun, sand, and more next winter.”

More Beach Flights

This winter, American will operate more than 270 peak daily departures to Mexico, the Caribbean and Latin America.

  • Increased service between Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Sao Paulo (GRU), with 10 weekly flights—a 40% increase compared to last winter.
