Celestyal is expanding its winter cruise offerings with the introduction of four new 14-night Arabian Gulf itineraries, featuring maiden calls in Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Egypt. The sailings mark the cruise line’s return to Egypt after a two-year hiatus and introduce Jordan and Saudi Arabia as new destinations for travelers.
Exploring the Arabian Gulf by Sea
As part of the new season, Celestyal will operate two-ship repositioning cruises, offering travelers an immersive journey through the region’s diverse landscapes, from ancient cities to modern metropolises.
The Celestyal Journey will set sail on Nov. 22, 2025, from Athens on its Ancient Athens to Amazing Abu Dhabi itinerary. The voyage will feature stops at Port Said (Egypt), Sharm El Sheikh, Aqaba, Jeddah, Muscat and Dubai, before concluding in Abu Dhabi on Dec. 6, 2025—just in time for the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix weekend.
Following this, the Celestyal Journey will embark on the Desert Days and Abu Dhabi Grand Prix sailing on Dec. 7, 2025, before launching the 7-night Desert Days itinerary for the season.
Meanwhile, the Celestyal Discovery will depart Athens on Nov. 28, 2025, mirroring the Celestyal Journey’s itinerary with an additional stop in Kusadasi, Turkey. The voyage will conclude with the ship’s first-ever call into Abu Dhabi on Dec. 13, 2025, ahead of its inaugural 3-, 4-, and 7-night Iconic Arabia sailings.
Both ships will reposition to Athens with two distinct itineraries:
- Celestyal Discovery’s Amazing Abu Dhabi to Ancient Athens sailing will depart Abu Dhabi on March 6, 2026, following a similar course back to Greece but with the addition of Ain Sukhna, Egypt.
- Celestyal Journey’s Dazzling Doha to Ancient Athens cruise will depart Doha on March 21, 2026, featuring an additional call to Kusadasi before arriving in Athens for the summer Greece and Mediterranean season.
The expansion follows the success of Celestyal Journey’s maiden season in the Arabian Gulf, where bookings exceeded targets by 27%. The cruise line’s partnership with Doha, Qatar, as a homeport in a three-year agreement, has played a pivotal role in strengthening its regional footprint.
