Iberostar Hotels & Resorts has reported another strong year with an 8 percent boost in average daily rate and a 10 percent increase in total sales for the first nine months of 2025 compared to last year.

In the Americas, demand continues to climb. Interest from Latin American travelers is up more than 15 percent, driving bookings across Mexico, the Dominican Republic and Brazil. The U.S. market also remains solid, with a 5 percent sales increase year over year.

“These results reaffirm the sustained growth trajectory of recent years and demonstrate our strong global positioning. They also encourage us to uphold our long-term vision, grounded on a commitment to quality and exceptional experiences for guests and employees alike, while continuing a selective expansion strategy supported by significant investments in the continuous development of our hotel portfolio,” said Phil Mc Aveety, CEO of Iberostar Hotels & Resorts, in a media statement.

Expansion for Iberostar

Now, Iberostar is channeling that momentum into expansion. Coming in November 2025, the brand will open Iberostar Selection Riviera Cancun, a five-star beachfront resort near Puerto Morelos in Quintana Roo. The new property will feature more than 440 rooms, along with multiple dining options and entertainment experiences—becoming Iberostar’s 12th hotel in Mexico.

Looking ahead, the brand has signed an agreement to acquire its first property in Zanzibar. The newly built, 360-room, five-star hotel located on Muyuni Beach will join the company’s Selection portfolio in late 2026, marking Iberostar’s entry into the East African market.

The company also continues to reinvest in its existing portfolio, with recent renovations including Iberostar Selection Fuerteventura Palace in the Canary Islands and upgrades across Spain, Greece and the Caribbean.

Iberostar plans to invest in new projects and property repositioning initiatives while reinforcing its commitment to a responsible tourism model centered on quality, sustainability and talent development.
