Culinary Cayman

“The Ritz-Carlton Cayman Cookout is one of the defining experiences of our resort, and we’re thrilled to welcome another extraordinary collection of culinary talent and guests to Grand Cayman,” said John Woolley, General Manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, in a press statement. “As I return to the Caribbean and begin this new chapter with The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman, I’m particularly excited to be part of an event with such an established history and international reputation. The 2027 lineup showcases not only the caliber of chefs who participate, but also the breadth of experiences available across our resort and the island, from intimate dinners at Blue to beachfront celebrations and excursions that highlight everything Grand Cayman has to offer.”

At Blue by Eric Ripert, the schedule includes lunches from Smyth, whose London restaurant Core holds three Michelin stars, and from Cimarusti of Los Angeles’ three-Michelin-starred Providence, plus a gala dinner in which seven chefs, among them Boulud, Secchi and Lee, each contribute a signature course.

Craggy Range presents the two Journey to Jamaica departures, which take guests by private jet to GoldenEye, the Jamaican retreat where James Bond creator Ian Fleming once lived. Ripert leads the Thursday, Jan. 14 trip and Smyth the Saturday, Jan. 16 trip, each with Craggy Range owner Terry Peabody for a Caribbean-inspired lunch with Craggy Range wines.

Clients can book The Ritz-Carlton Cayman Cookout 2027 Overnight Experience, valid Jan. 11-19, 2027, which requires a 3-night minimum. It covers breakfast for two each day at Seven Restaurant, round-trip airport transfers, entry to five culinary demonstrations and a pair of tickets to select signature events, including i and the Saturday evening poolside celebration.

Why It Matters

American Express’ 2026 Global Travel Trends Report found that 79 percent of Millennials and Gen Z say they’re likely to seek out destination-specific local workshops or activities. For clients who plan trips around what they’ll eat and learn, advisors can build a January itinerary around the Cookout’s demonstrations.
