On Dec. 21, several Southeast Asian resorts will mark World Meditation Day with programs designed to encourage reflection and stillness. This is an opportunity for your clients to connect with local traditions in Vietnam and Thailand through guided practices, sound healing and yoga sessions.
Meditation, Breathing, Healing
In Vietnam’s Da Nang, TIA Wellness Resort offers its early-morning Breathe tour, centered on the Linh Ung Pagoda on the Son Tra Peninsula. The excursion begins at 6 a.m. with a quiet visit to this large Buddhist temple, followed by a guided meditation. Participants focus on breathwork on the temple grounds, then proceed to view the Lady Buddha statue, locally known as the symbol of peace and prosperity. Standing more than 200 feet tall, it is recognized as the tallest statue of its kind in the country. The program concludes at 8:30 a.m., allowing your clients to return to the resort as the early light settles and the sound of the sea fades into the background.

Sensory Workshop
Across the Andaman Sea in southern Thailand, Banyan Tree Krabi will use its Wellbeing Sanctuary framework for a dedicated Wellbeing Day on Dec. 21. The day begins at 8 a.m. with beach yoga led by the resort’s Ayurvedic specialist, Dr. Subhash Shanbhag. At 10 a.m., guests take part in Mandala Painting—an introspective creative session that invites quiet attention to detail. By the afternoon, the focus shifts to a Workshop for the Senses, exploring natural aromatic elements and local plants. The program closes at 6 p.m. with the Better Sleep workshop that combines breathing techniques and Tibetan sound meditation on the beachfront lawn, directly facing the limestone cliffs and the calm waters of the Andaman Sea.

The Sound of Healing
Farther north on Vietnam’s Cam Ranh peninsula, overlooking Long Beach, Alma Resort will welcome your clients to a sound-healing meditation led by Umesh Kumar Sharma, an Indian wellness practitioner with two decades of experience in yoga and meditation. The 1.5-hour session, scheduled from 4:30–6 p.m. on Dec. 21, will start with a discussion of the benefits of sound therapy, followed by gentle stretching and a complete sound-healing sequence. The experience concludes with a herbal tea ritual in the resort’s Yoga Room. The session is limited to 10–12 participants.
