Building on the legacy of Aspen’s iconic The Little Nell, Aspen Hospitality has launched Nell Hotels, a new luxury hotel brand that expands the property’s signature approach to personalized service beyond Colorado. The new collection will bring the spirit of The Little Nell to a curated portfolio of hotels in high-profile destinations, marking the next evolution for one of luxury hospitality’s most recognized names.
The launch of Nell Hotels includes two key developments: the opening of The Nell New York in fall 2027 as the first hotel within Rockefeller Center and New York City’s only Relais & Chateaux property, and the renovation of The Little Nell in Aspen. The Aspen hotel will close temporarily in April 2027 for a property-wide renovation and is scheduled to reopen for the 2027–28 ski season.
The 134-room NYC hotel—where art will play a central role—will occupy the upper floors of Rockefeller Center, converting former office space into a luxury hotel. Guests will check in on the seventh floor, where the arrival experience is designed to provide a quieter, more private setting above one of New York City’s busiest districts.
Amenities will include an all-day dining venue, a lobby bar, a wine lounge and experience— bringing The Little Nell’s globally renowned wine program to New York—as well as a spa. Additionally, a signature fine dining restaurant will open above the hotel on the 17th floor, featuring expansive views of Rockefeller Center.
