Royal Caribbean is preparing to launch its second Icon Class ship, Star of the Seas, in August from Port Canaveral, and the line is promising vacationers an all-encompassing adventure. From show-stopping entertainment and immersive dining to family-friendly neighborhoods and late-night venues, Star of the Seas is being designed to deliver standout experiences across the board.

Show-Stopping Entertainment

Among the most exciting reveals is the at-sea debut of the Broadway hit Back to the Future: The Musical, which will be performed in the Royal Theater and features classic rock hits, high-energy choreography and a few Royal Caribbean surprises.

In the AquaTheater, thrill-seekers will be treated to Torque, a high-octane show blending slacklining, synchronized swimming, dance and daredevil stunts. Also in the AquaTheater, families can enjoy Pirates & Mermaids, a lighthearted adventure featuring comedy, diving, and a meaningful message about the true treasure in life.

Absolute Zero

Other highlights include SOL in Absolute Zero, Royal Caribbean’s largest-ever ice show, which follows the journey of the sun through skating and immersive visuals. Rounding out the entertainment is Create, an original Royal Caribbean production starring KRE-8, a curious robot exploring creativity through various art forms.

Eat, Drink & Be Merry

Dining options are equally robust. The ship will offer more than 40 venues to eat and drink, including several new concepts debuting on this ship. In the AquaDome Market—a food hall unique to Icon Class—three new outlets will serve up globally inspired street food, from smoky brisket and pulled pork to Southeast Asian dishes like pad thai and beef panang, as well as South American classics like arepas and empanadas.

Making its debut onboard is the Lincoln Park Supper Club in the Central Park neighborhood. Inspired by 1930s Chicago, this elevated dining experience will pair multi-course meals with live jazz, craft cocktails and a throwback ambiance evoking legendary venues like The Pump Room and Chez Paree.

The ship will feature more than 20 bars and lounges, including returning favorites like Dueling Pianos, Rye & Bean (serving coffee-infused cocktails), Lou’s Jazz & Blues Club and Bubbles, a Champagne bar located under the stars in Central Park.

Caribbean Adventures

Star of the Seas will sail 7-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries. Each sailing includes a call at Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in The Bahamas. Select itineraries will also visit Royal Beach Club Paradise Island, a new destination in the Royal Beach Club Collection.
