Tauck is expanding its fleet by adding two new riverboats in Spring 2026 with construction underway in Serbia and The Netherlands. Currently unnamed, these vessels are designed to enhance Tauck’s award-winning river cruise experience.
Redefining Luxury River Cruising
The first of the new ships is a 442-foot riverboat that will sail the Rhone and host only 130 guests across 68 cabins. Guests will enjoy 22 spacious 300-sq.-ft. suites on the Diamond Deck, 34 comfortable 225-sq.-ft. cabins on the Ruby Deck and 12 180-sq.-ft. cabins on the Emerald Deck.
Tauck’s second ship, slightly smaller at 410 feet, is built to navigate the Seine and will accommodate up to 124 guests. This vessel’s accommodations include 20 300-sq.-ft. suites on the Diamond Deck, 30 225-sq-.ft. cabins on the Ruby Deck and 12 180-sq.-ft. cabins on the Emerald Deck. The 180-sq.-ft. cabins are 20% larger than those found on Tauck’s current riverboats, giving solo travelers more space.
For solo travelers, Tauck is also continuing its single supplement waiver on all Category 1 cabins, a perk that aligns with the company’s commitment to welcoming solo cruisers on every journey.
“With our two new riverboats, we’ll continue to prioritize our guests’ comfort and the quality of their onboard experience, rather than following the industry norm of maximizing revenue by maximizing passenger capacity,” said Dan Maher, Tauck CEO, in a press statement.
As with Tauck’s other riverboats, the two new boats will sail with a dedicated Tauck Cruise Director and up to three Tauck Director guides to provide the highest levels of service, and the itineraries offered on the new ships will be fully inclusive. Built into the price of every Tauck cruise are all shore excursions, gratuities, onboard beverages (including wine, beer and spirits), arrival and departure airport transfers, taxes, fees and more.
Tauck opened its 2026 river cruises for preliminary bookings earlier this month and guests are now able to reserve space on the 2026 itinerary and departure date of their choosing. All guests who book 2026 cruises now will have the opportunity to cancel their bookings, and receive a full refund of their deposits, when pricing and final itinerary details are announced in early 2025.
