Trafalgar Adds 70-Plus Trips and Its First Saver Small Groups

Trafalgar is offering its Small Groups at the saver price tier for the first time in its 2027 program, giving advisors a small group product at every budget level the brand sells.

The 11 saver Small Groups are part of more than 70 new trips for 2027, all open for sale ahead of Black Friday. Both of Trafalgar’s travel categories now come in saver, classic and premium versions. Small Groups cap departures at 18 guests and include local stops larger groups cannot reach, along with longer stays in each place, while Tours is the brand’s guided format, led by a Travel Director and covering major sights alongside lesser-known ones. “We’re all about giving advisors more ways to solve for the client in front of you,” said Melissa DaSilva, Deputy CEO and Chief Sales Officer, TTC Tour Brands, in a press statement. “This includes new itineraries that visit a breadth of new destinations for clients looking beyond Europe for their next vacation.”

Trafalgar’s Tiers

New Small Groups reach each of the three tiers, with Asia, Africa and Western Europe represented:

  • Cambodia Calling (saver) starts in Phnom Penh with the city’s history and royal sights, then moves to Battambang for the Bamboo Train and village visits before a sunrise at Angkor Wat.
  • Devon and Cornwall Escape (classic) pairs Stonehenge, Dartmoor and Cornwall with a cruise on the Thames, a stop at the Roman Baths and a Be My Guest visit to a cider farm.
  • San Sebastian and Beyond (classic) includes a walk on a section of the Camino de Santiago, plus time in Saint-Emilion, Biarritz and San Sebastian for local food and culture.
  • Kenya and Tanzania Safari (premium) combines game drives and wildlife viewing by boat with cultural encounters in both countries.
  • Wonders of Japan (premium) runs from Tokyo to Kyoto by bullet train, stopping in preserved towns and temple districts, with sessions on tea, bonsai and traditional crafts plus regional dishes.

On the Tours side, the new itineraries lean on North America and winter travel:

  • Yellowstone Winter Escape (premium) moves guests through the national park in winter aboard specialized snow vehicles.
  • The Heart of Mexico (classic) travels from Mexico City to Tequila, covering Aztec history and local food, with hand-making tortillas and lessons from local residents on how alebrijes are crafted.
  • Finland Beneath the Northern Lights (classic) heads north from Helsinki into Lapland for Northern Lights viewing, a reindeer safari and husky sledding, with a stay at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort.

Why It Matters

Small group tours ranked first among product categories for passenger growth in 2026 in the United States Tour Operators Association’s (USTOA) annual travel trends and forecast survey, announced at its December 2025 conference; the same survey also found value and experiences tied as the top factors shaping where travelers book. The saver Small Groups sit where those two findings meet. For clients who want a capped group size but are weighing cost, advisors can now quote a saver-tier itinerary such as Cambodia Calling and set it beside classic and premium options from the same brand.
