Wellness is Central to Yoga Month

Willowbrook Spa.

National Yoga Month kicked off on Sept. 1, and Suzanne Frazer, yoga and wellness instructor at The Lake House on Canandaigua, has highlighted the benefits of practicing yoga while on vacation.

Travel often involves rushing and prolonged periods in uncomfortable positions, leading to stress and disconnection from the present moment. Yoga offers a solution, helping your clients ground themselves and transition to rest.

Frazer notes that many guests at The Lake House experience their first yoga class during their stay. The unfamiliar environment can reduce social anxiety for beginners, who often leave feeling more confident and interested in continuing their practice at home.

The Lake House on Canandaigua provides daily yoga, meditation and stretch sessions with lake views. The resort also offers specialized experiences throughout the year, including Restorative Yoga with Sound Immersion, Creative Art and Yoga Retreats, and Floating Sound Baths in the outdoor pool, timed with astrological events.
