Luxury Hotel News from Octant Hotels

Luxury Hotel News
The road to perfect privacy at Octant Vila Monte.

Trendy Algarve, Portugal, recently welcomed four new suites at the boho-chic Octant Vila Monte, part of Octant Hotels and their unique management style, which did away with formal check-in and check-out times, deadlines for breakfast and closing times for pools across their hotels in the Algarve, Alentejo and Azores region.

The new suites reflect the biophilic design concepts, which aim to increase guest connectivity with nature: the Solarium and Secret suites come with a private heated plunge pool and a garden-view terrace, plus they’re in an adults-only area, adding to the tranquility. Recommend any of the three Secret suites for couples with their extra privacy and butler service, plus an outdoor furnished patio shaded by carob trees and an immersion pool.

Octant Vila Monte boasts two swimming pools, a tennis court, and wellness experiences that include tailor-made spa treatments, private yoga classes and more.

Luxury Hotel News from Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa

Luxury Hotel News
The new look at Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa.

Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is fresh from a multimillion-dollar reno just in time for summer escapes. Tucked away between San Diego’s La Jolla and Del Mar, the property takes casual comfort and barefoot luxury to new heights, with guestrooms reimagined from top to bottom with custom wall coverings and furnishings and special attention paid to tech upgrades like wireless chargers and access to popular streaming services. The bathrooms received their own upgrade, with barn doors, marble countertops and modern amenities. And every room comes with a spectacular view of the lush gardens.

The guestroom upgrades are part of a larger investment in the property, which saw the creation of a new lawn space and the revitalization of the five existing lawns, available for private events from business gatherings to weddings. This project is visually appealing and has enhanced the hotel’s sustainability profile by reducing the amount of irrigation needed for grounds maintenance. Additional eco-friendly initiatives include a new apiary to eventually create a sustainable honey source for the kitchen and an educational opportunity for guests, new herb and butterfly gardens and a stunning flower installation by Native Poppy at the Greenfinch Bar.
