MSC Poesia has entered dry dock for refurbishment before the ship makes its Alaska debut in May. The upgrade marks the next phase of what MSC Cruises describes as its most extensive refit of the past decade.
MSC Yacht Club Expands Across Musica Class
When refurbishment is complete in April, MSC Poesia will debut a 69-suite MSC Yacht Club, the brand’s exclusive “ship-within-a-ship” enclave featuring private amenities, a dedicated restaurant and lounge and 24-hour butler service.
The move follows the recent upgrade of sister ship MSC Magnifica, which completed its refurbishment in December and is currently operating the MSC World Cruise 2026.
Earlier this month, MSC Cruises also confirmed the expansion of MSC Yacht Club to MSC Musica and MSC Orchestra, meaning all four Musica-class vessels will soon feature the premium enclave product.
New Dining and Wellness Experiences
MSC Poesia will introduce two specialty dining venues designed to broaden onboard revenue and guest appeal: Butcher’s Cut, the line’s American-style steakhouse and Kaito Sushi Bar, featuring Asian-inspired cuisine.
The ship will also unveil a redesigned MSC Aurea Spa and a Technogym-powered fitness center, complete with new workout studios, an outdoor Aurea area, Top 15 Exclusive Solarium, and a Gentleman’s Barber concept.
MSC Poesia’s 2026–2027 Deployment: Alaska and Caribbean
From May through September 2026, MSC Poesia will operate 7-night Alaska cruises round-trip from Seattle, calling at marquee ports including: Ketchikan, Icy Strait Point, Tracy Arm, Juneau and Victoria
Following its Alaska season, the ship will reposition to Miami for winter 2026–2027 Caribbean sailings, with itineraries featuring destinations across Jamaica, Colombia, Costa Rica, Aruba, Curacao and Belize. The ship is scheduled to return to Alaska for the summer of 2027.
