A new wave of hotel openings set for 2026 is bringing fresh energy to London’s luxury landscape, from wellness-driven flagships to design-forward boutiques in some of London’s most interesting neighborhoods. Here’s what you need to know—and who to book them for.
Six Senses Confirms London Debut
Six Senses London, the brand’s first U.K. outpost, is confirmed to open in early 2026. Set within The Whiteley, a restored landmark in Bayswater, the hotel brings Six Senses’ signature blend of wellbeing, design and experiential travel to an urban London setting.
The property will feature 109 guestrooms and suites, many with private terraces, along with 14 branded residences. You can position the hotel as a choice for wellness-driven travelers, high-end couples and repeat London visitors looking for something new in London.
Food and beverage will center around Whiteley’s Kitchen, Bar and Cafe. Menus will spotlight local and seasonal flavors, while the cafe and bar components add flexibility for clients who prefer informal, all-day dining.
The property will also feature the signature Six Senses Spa, spanning 25,000 square feet. The spa will blend wellness technology with traditional healing practices. Highlights include London’s first hotel-based magnesium pool, a flotation pod, cryotherapy chamber, movement studios, an Alchemy Bar and a medical-grade longevity clinic.
The hotel will also debut Six Senses Place, the brand’s first private members’ club. Designed as a social and wellness-focused space, the club will offer curated programming and community-driven experiences, with membership available by application only.

Boutique Stay in London: The Newman
The Newman, a new boutique hotel opening Feb. 1, 2026, in the Fitzrovia neighborhood, brings an art-led, neighborhood-rooted alternative to London’s traditional hotel scene.
Set on the former site of historic boot makers Penton & Sons, the 81-room hotel draws on Art Deco and Victorian influences. Accommodation options range from guestrooms and 15 one-bedroom suites to five one-bedroom apartments with private street entrances. A 1,184-square-foot Penthouse Suite anchors the rooftop, complete with private terrace, in-suite wellness amenities and VIP-style inclusions such as airport transfers, unpacking service and private check-in.
Brasserie Angelica, an all-day modern European brasserie, includes terrace seating and a menu focused on Northern European flavors and wood-fired cooking. Below, Gambit Bar is a cocktail den with both alcoholic and zero-proof signature cocktails.
The Newman devotes an entire floor to spa, beauty and fitness, featuring London’s first medical-grade halotherapy room, hydrotherapy pool, sauna and steam rooms, and advanced treatments such as LED light therapy and compression recovery.
Art is integrated throughout the property, with commissioned works by London-based artists across guestrooms, public spaces and the wellness floor.

Mayfair Welcomes a New Boutique Hotel
Set to open in 2026, The Shepherd Mayfair will debut in the historic Shepherd Market enclave, offering a residential-style alternative to Mayfair’s larger luxury flagships.
Part of the Elegant Hotel Collection, The Shepherd Mayfair will feature 82 guestrooms and suites across six floors, with interiors inspired by the area’s grand townhouses rather than traditional hotel layouts. Each room is individually configured, a detail that is ideal for repeat London travelers who value character over cookie-cutter design.
The hotel will introduce three distinct dining and bar concepts, all accessible to both guests and locals. Fayre, a modern all-day brasserie, draws inspiration from Mayfair’s historic fairgrounds, while The Lounge offers a cafe-to-cocktail-bar experience with terrace seating. Below ground, Teddy’s, a hidden late-night cocktail bar, inspires the intimate drinking rooms of 1960s Mayfair.
For clients who want central Mayfair access without the flash, The Shepherd Mayfair promises a polished, under-the-radar stay with strong design credentials and a true sense of place.
