Armenia is making it simpler than ever for international travelers to explore the country with a temporary visa exemption in effect through July 1, 2026. The policy allows eligible visitors to enter without a visa and stay for up to 180 days within a one-year period.

Eligible travelers include those holding residence permits from the United States, European Union member states, Schengen Area countries, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait or Oman—a total of 113 countries.

“This decision is a clear invitation to travellers around the world. Armenia is open and welcoming, and we look forward to sharing our culture, landscapes and hospitality with more visitors throughout 2026,” said Lusine Gevorgyan, Chairman of the Tourism Committee of Armenia, in a media statement.

Armenia offers a unique combination of history, scenery and modern comforts. Visitors can explore Yerevan’s cafes, museums, the country’s culinary scene, hike dramatic mountain trails, or visit UNESCO World Heritage sites and ancient monasteries. Seasonal festivals, wine tours and cultural experiences make the country an increasingly attractive option for short breaks, long stays and multi-destination trips.

Tour operators and travel advisors may also find the visa exemption useful when planning multi-country itineraries. The full list of eligible countries and additional details on the temporary visa waiver are available through official Armenian government channels.
