Dubai continues to project stability and transparency amid tensions in the Middle East, which are raising concerns about regional travel. In a new video published on the official Visit Dubai YouTube channel, Issam Kazim, CEO of the Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing, emphasized that the emirate remains “safe and stable,” with public services, infrastructure and tourism facilities “fully operational.”
A Message From Dubai
Speaking from Dubai, Kazim reaffirmed that the city’s “safety of all residents and visitors is, and always will be, our top priority.” He added that federal and local authorities are taking “extensive measures” to ensure that daily life continues as normal and confirmed that flights are returning to regular schedules, led by Emirates and flydubai.
His message comes as the conflict in Iran continues into its fifth week, creating ripple effects across regional markets. According to Reuters, airspace disruptions have temporarily diverted aircraft near Dubai and delayed certain inbound flights, though operations are steadily improving. Despite these challenges, the UAE government has moved swiftly to support tourism. The National News reports that a federal support package is in development to assist hospitality and travel businesses affected by flight disruptions and cancellations.
While data from short‑term booking platform AirDNA showed more than 80,000 cancellations during the first week of Iranian airstrikes (The National News), industry analysts note a gradual rebound. Emirates and flydubai are restoring frequencies across key routes, focusing on European and Asian markets. According to Reuters, Dubai International Airport remains among the world’s busiest airports for international transit, even during the conflict.
Kazim credited Dubai’s “historic model of openness” as a source of resilience and unity, saying its community of nearly 200 nationalities continues to thrive. He urged residents and partners to rely on “trusted official media” and avoid misinformation that can create unnecessary concern. For travel advisors, the message reinforces confidence that Dubai remains operational and welcoming to visitors—and that local industry leaders are aligning with global partners to ensure the steady flow of tourism continues.
