Contiki Revamps Travel Portfolio With New GO WANDER Itineraries

Contiki is reshaping its travel portfolio with a major overhaul that gives young travelers more ways to explore the world.

The first stage of a multi-year evolution, GO WANDER introduces eight Travel Worlds built around travelers’ personal interests, 76 new trips by year-end, including all-new destinations Fiji and the Maldives and a new pricing model with lower rates across the portfolio.

The changes come as young Americans continue to seek more diverse travel experiences. According to research cited by Contiki, U.S. travelers ages 18–34 took an average of 4.2 international trips over the past five years, while 81 percent said they would consider an organized group trip for part of their next international vacation.

GO WANDER introduces eight Travel Worlds built around travelers’ personal interests.

“GO WANDER is a reinvention of Contiki, inspired by the pioneering spirit that’s been part of our story from the start and reimagined for a new generation of young travelers,” said Toni Ambler, Chief Customer Officer at Contiki, in a press statement.

“With 76 new trips, eight new travel worlds built around personal interests, and more ways to travel, we’re giving our travel agent partners more opportunities to match their clients with the right adventure—and young people more freedom to explore on their own terms,” she added.

Eight Travel Worlds

At the center of GO WANDER is a new portfolio structure that organizes Contiki’s offerings into eight Travel Worlds. The categories are designed to make it easier for travelers to discover trips based on their interests, preferred travel styles and budgets.

The new lineup includes:

  • Contiki Local: Small-group experiences that emphasize local culture and immersive exploration, with more flexibility to venture beyond the major sights.
  • Contiki Originals: The brand’s signature itineraries, building on the travel experiences that have defined Contiki since its founding in 1962.
  • Contiki Highlights: Trips focused on iconic attractions and essential experiences in each destination.
  • Contiki Lite: More affordable itineraries that prioritize core experiences at a lower price point.
  • Contiki Outdoors: Active adventures for travelers who want to explore destinations through outdoor pursuits.
  • Contiki Islands: Island-focused itineraries spanning destinations from Greece and Indonesia to the Maldives.
  • Contiki Festivals: Trips offering access and experiences tied to major music and cultural festivals.
  • Contiki Luxe: A collection of upscale travel experiences for clients seeking a more elevated vacation.

For travel advisors, the new structure offers another way to guide younger clients through the planning process. Rather than starting solely with a destination, advisors can use a client’s interests as a starting point for recommending an itinerary.

Expanded Portfolio & New Pricing Model

GO WANDER also expands Contiki’s destination lineup, adding Fiji and the Maldives alongside new itineraries in India and Japan.

Contiki is also introducing a refreshed pricing model with lower everyday prices across its portfolio. The move is designed to reduce reliance on flash sales and limited-time promotions, making it easier for younger travelers to plan and budget for a trip.

GO WANDER is now live, with travelers and travel advisors able to explore the updated portfolio at contiki.com.
