Experience the highlights of Argentina and Uruguay on a 7-night FAM trip scheduled for April 9–16, 2027, organized by Tara Tours.
The itinerary pairs city sightseeing and cultural experiences with Patagonia’s dramatic glacial landscapes before crossing the Rio de la Plata to explore Uruguay’s capital, Montevideo.
The journey begins in Buenos Aires with a tango dinner show at Gala Tango, followed by a guided city tour featuring Plaza de Mayo, the Casa Rosada, Teatro Colon, the colorful La Boca neighborhood, Puerto Madero and Recoleta Cemetery.
Discover Patagonia’s Glaciers and Gaucho Culture
From Buenos Aires, advisors fly to El Calafate, the gateway to Los Glaciares National Park. A full-day excursion to Perito Moreno Glacier includes a boat ride for views of the towering ice walls from the water.
The itinerary also features a visit to Nibepo Aike, a historic Patagonian ranch located within the national park. There, participants can learn about gaucho traditions and rural life, with demonstrations that may include sheep herding, shearing and horsemanship. The experience includes a traditional Patagonian lamb barbecue, with vegetarian and vegan alternatives available, and a choice between a 45-minute horseback ride or a guided walk.
Finish in Montevideo
The trip continues with a return flight to Buenos Aires and a ferry crossing to Montevideo, Uruguay. A full-day city tour explores the historic Ciudad Vieja, Plaza Constitucion, Teatro Solis and Plaza Independencia, along with the city’s parks, residential districts and coastal Rambla. Lunch is planned at Mercado del Puerto, known for its traditional parrillas.
The 7-night package includes hotel accommodations with taxes and service charges, private guided tours and entrance fees, domestic flights between Buenos Aires and El Calafate, the ferry crossing to Montevideo, specified meals and gratuities for guides, drivers and porters. International airfare, travel insurance, visas and personal expenses are excluded.
