Princess Cruises is adding its Sanctuary Collection to five Royal Class ships, with sales open now on Royal Princess and the other four ships following within two months. The collection, first introduced on Sun Princess and Star Princess, pairs select suites and staterooms with private onboard spaces, dedicated dining, personalized service and premium amenities included for the full voyage.
The Posh Life on Princess
The rollout opens a multi-year fleet modernization program focused on the guest experience. “The Sanctuary Collection has quickly become one of the most distinctive and desirable ways to experience Princess,” said Gus Antorcha, Princess Cruises president, in a press statement. “Expanding Sanctuary Collection across five additional Royal Class ships allows more guests to enjoy the privacy, personalized service and premium amenities they would expect from an intimate luxury resort, while still having the destinations, entertainment and choices of a Princess cruise just steps away.”
Once a ship opens for sale, every Sanctuary Collection booking includes Princess Premier, the line’s most inclusive package, with premium unlimited beverages, specialty and casual dining, high-speed Wi-Fi, crew appreciation, complimentary room service and OceanNow delivery, among other benefits. Accommodations include newly constructed oceanview staterooms, and guests also receive priority access and reservations, curated in-room amenities and tailored daily programming.
Collection guests also have a private Sanctuary Club with lounge and social areas and a pool offering upgraded loungers, poolside food and beverage service and shaded cabanas at an added cost. The Sanctuary Restaurant, open only to Sanctuary guests, bases its menus on the destinations Princess visits. Suite guests add a dedicated concierge and a private Suite Lounge, and all collection guests keep full access to the rest of the ship.
Sales on Royal Princess start with a 12-day South Pacific sailing departing Jan. 4, 2027. Guests who booked the ship before Oct. 22, 2026, in a Reserve Collection stateroom will receive the Sanctuary Collection experience and its added amenities at no extra cost, though Princess Premier is not included. Other on-sale dates:
- Regal Princess: Nov. 5, with a transatlantic voyage from Port Everglades departing April 17, 2027
- Discovery Princess: Dec. 4, with a seven-day Mexico roundtrip from Los Angeles departing April 24, 2027
- Sky Princess: Dec. 10, with a 14-day Baltic voyage from Southampton departing May 29, 2027
- Enchanted Princess: Dec. 17, with a seven-day Mediterranean voyage from Civitavecchia departing June 12, 2027
Why It Matters
Interest at the top of the market is building heading into 2027: 47 percent of the more than 3,100 advisors surveyed for the 2027 Virtuoso Luxe Report say they have seen an increase in ultraluxe travel, and those advisors ranked privacy and fully inclusive resort or cruise experiences among the top five ultraluxe experiences. Sanctuary Collection lets advisors meet both requests on a large-ship Princess itinerary, giving clients private space and a bundled package without giving up the ship’s wider choice of dining and entertainment. Start with clients already holding Reserve Collection staterooms on Royal Princess, who should hear about their added amenities.
