The new service will connect travelers to southern Spain while offering convenient connections through Montreal to destinations across North America, the Caribbean and Latin America.

“The addition of Seville further bolsters Air Canada’s growing global network and cements Air Canada as the largest airline by seats offered between Canada and Spain. As the only non-stop service between the city and North America, Air Canada’s new service will unlock more of Andalusia and the world for our customers and Aeroplan Members while delivering a step-change in global connectivity for Seville,” said Mark Galardo, Executive VP & Chief Commercial Officer, and President of Cargo, at Air Canada, in a media statement.

“Today, Sevilla is taking a historic step forward in its international connectivity. The arrival of Air Canada means much more than just the launch of a new route; for the first time, our city will have a direct transoceanic connection that will link us to Canada and strengthen our ties with North America,” said Jose Luis Sanz, Mayor of Sevilla, in a media statement.

International travellers connecting onward to the U.S. can also take advantage of U.S. customs preclearance in Montreal, allowing them to arrive at their final destination as domestic passengers.

What this Means for Advisors

For travel advisors, the new route offers another option for clients planning trips to southern Spain, with convenient connections through Montreal making it easier to build multi-destination itineraries across North America, the Caribbean and Latin America.
