Barbuda’s De Niro Resort Takes Pre-Opening Tented Suite Bookings

The Beach Club, Barbuda has opened up a small amount of inventory well before its main hotel is ready. Two beachfront tented suites are now bookable for stays beginning in late December 2026, though the resort itself isn’t scheduled to officially open until 2027.

Barbuda Exclusive

That main hotel is the 36-guestroom Nobu Beach Inn, slated for late 2027. Co-founder Robert De Niro, who has pursued the project for more than 30 years, owns no other Nobu resort. The property occupies two miles of beachfront on Barbuda’s southwest coast.

Until the inn opens, the tents are priced at $3,500 per night plus tax. The rate includes breakfast, a beach barbecue dinner and non-motorized watersports. A dedicated Nobu team plans each guest’s days, and options range from massages on the terrace to paddleboarding, kayaking and snorkeling on offshore reefs. Guests can also take boat trips to hidden sandbars or visit the island’s frigate bird sanctuary, with resident watersports specialists accompanying them on the water.

Nobu Barbuda, which the resort calls the Caribbean’s only Nobu destination, handles meals. Beyond the beachfront barbecue built around the day’s catch, guests can arrange a private omakase dinner prepared by the executive chef.

The accommodations themselves are air-conditioned and sit steps from the famous Princess Diana Beach. Each tent has a king bed, a freestanding soaking tub, an outdoor shower and a private shaded terrace, along with living space both indoors and out. The resort also highlights Barbuda’s uncrowded pink-sand beaches and its Bortle Class 2 dark-sky rating, which it says ranks the site among the darkest places in the world for stargazing.

Why it Matters

For travel advisors, the pre-opening product with only two suites, a set nightly price and a defined list of inclusions makes it simple to quote and neatly fits the trend of luxury clients who want an immersive, one-of-a-kind experience. Tip: Confirm which curated experiences, such as the omakase dinner, might fall outside the nightly rate.
