MSC Cruises is increasing its footprint in Florida with plans to expand its Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral. The cruise line’s fourth World Class ship—yet to be named—will debut at the port for the Winter 2027-2028 season, offering 7-night Caribbean itineraries and joining MSC World America as the second World Class ship dedicated to North America.
MSC Grandiosa is set to offer year-round 7-night Caribbean sailings from Port Canaveral starting in Winter 2026-2027, following an inaugural season in Winter 2025-2026. Meanwhile, MSC Seashore will continue its shorter 3- and 4-night cruises to The Bahamas, including stops at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve.
World Class from Port Canaveral
“Our commitment to Port Canaveral is stronger than ever,” said Lynn Torrent, EVP and Chief Commercial Officer, MSC Cruises USA, in a press statement. “Having ships dedicated to offering both short and 7-night cruises year-round ensures we have the right options available no matter when someone wants to sail. We’re especially excited to bring a World Class ship to Port Canaveral, continuing our long-standing pledge to deploy our most modern and innovative ships in the Caribbean market.”
Port Canaveral’s CEO, Capt. John Murray, echoed the enthusiasm, stating, “The arrival of MSC Grandiosa and the deployment of their fourth World Class ship to homeport with us reaffirms the cruise industry’s confidence in our ability to consistently deliver a world-class guest experience.”
The announcement comes as MSC Cruises continues expanding in Florida. This April, the new MSC World America will debut from PortMiami, featuring 19 dining venues—including the only Eataly at sea—18 bars and lounges and new attractions like The Harbour, a family-friendly outdoor space with a ropes course, water park and over-water swing ride. The ship will also boast the largest MSC Yacht Club in the Caribbean for those seeking a more exclusive experience.
