More Legendary Voyages with Holland America

 
 

Holland America Line introduced five new Legendary Voyages, offering destination-packed sailings roundtrip from the U.S. Ranging from 27 to 45 days, these extended cruises provide guests with an immersive exploration of regions such as the Mediterranean, South Pacific, Pacific Northwest, Alaska and Hawaii.

“Interest in longer cruises continues to grow and these newest Legendary Voyages deliver with unique itineraries that delve deep into popular and harder-to-reach parts of the world,” said Paul Grigsby, Holland America Line’s Vice President of Revenue Planning and Deployment, in a press statement. “These five voyages, all sailing from North American homeports, build on our commitment to offer cruises that let our guests linger longer and connect with the destination in a more intimate way.” 

Solstice & The Great Bear Rainforest

On June 7, 2026, Noordam will embark on a 28-day Legendary Arctic Circle Solstice voyage, sailing roundtrip from Seattle. While similar itineraries have been offered in past seasons, this newly reimagined journey features two full days of scenic cruising through British Columbia’s historic Inside Passage. Guests will take in the coastal fjords while navigating Seymour Narrows, Johnstone Strait, Bella Bella and the Grenville Channel—along with a rare opportunity to explore the Great Bear Rainforest, home to the elusive Kermode bear.

The journey continues across the Arctic Circle for the summer solstice before returning to Seattle. Along the way, guests will visit 13 ports across British Columbia and Alaska, including late-night stays in Valdez and Juneau, overnight in Anchorage and stops in remote destinations like Nome and Dutch Harbor.

Twelve Mediterranean Countries

One of Holland America Line’s most popular Legendary Voyages returns for 2026—the Ultimate Mediterranean & Atlantic Passage. Inspired by Holland America Line’s earliest pleasure cruises, this 45-day journey aboard Volendam sails roundtrip from New York, visiting 21 ports across 12 countries.

Highlights include:

  • A late-night call in Gibraltar
  • An overnight stay in Alexandria, Egypt
  • A special extended visit to Istanbul

South Pacific Wonders

Holland America Line offers two 35-day Legendary Voyages, sailing roundtrip from San Diego with departure options aboard Zaandam or Koningsdam.

  • Zaandam | Oct. 15, 2026: This itinerary visits 14 ports across three countries, featuring four Hawaiian islands—including an overnight in Honolulu—before crossing the International Dateline to Fanning Island and French Polynesia.
  • Koningsdam | Feb. 13, 2027: This itinerary calls at 11 ports and follows the same route to Fanning Island before arriving in French Polynesia. Guests will enjoy overnights in Moorea and Raiatea, plus an extended stay in Papeete with an overnight and a late departure.
