Out Adventures Adds Six New LGBTQ+ Tours to Its 2028 Lineup

Out Adventures has opened bookings for six new 2028 tours, and the additions shift its LGBTQ+ group program toward hiking, expedition cruising and longer stays within a single region.

The lineup comes as LGBTQ+ travel continues to grow. A March 2026 report from Coherent Market Insights values the global LGBT tourism market at $385.56 billion this year and projects $660.78 billion by 2033, an annual growth rate of 8 percent.

Several new routes reach places where competing LGBTQ+ operators offer no comparable group trip, and guest feedback shaped at least one: Sri Lanka: Isle of Serendipity is back on the schedule, with its first departures since 2019, following a strong showing in an Out Adventures guest survey. “Our guests are experienced travelers. They’re looking for places they haven’t been and experiences they can’t simply find on every itinerary,” said Robert Sharp, co-founder and CEO of Out Adventures, in a press statement.

Two additions build the trip around activity. Baja California: Gay Cruise & Expedition, the biggest expedition cruise Out Adventures has run, carries up to 85 guests aboard the National Geographic Venture through the Gulf of California, with morning and afternoon excursions most days for gray whale encounters, snorkeling, kayaking and Cabo Pulmo National Marine Park; a drag performer and a DJ provide nightly entertainment. France: Mont Blanc Adventure follows the Tour du Mont Blanc through France, Italy and Switzerland with hotel stays instead of camping and luggage transfers, so hikers carry only a daypack.

Other new tours lean on culture and history. France: Provence & the French Riviera ties stops to James Baldwin in Saint-Paul-de-Vence and Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat’s place in the Riviera’s gay literary history, plus the Antibes studio Picasso once used and the Palais des Papes in Avignon. Sicily: Palermo to Taormina crosses the island and includes two nights in Noto, and Ireland: Dublin & the Kerry Way adds a guided trek.

Of note: Four returning tours offer access still uncommon in LGBTQ+ group travel. China: Highlights & Tibet includes the extra permit Tibet requires; Scotland: Highlands Gay Cruise sails by small ship across Loch Ness; and Georgia: Crossroads of Empires and The Baltics: Lithuania, Latvia & Estonia can be combined, with an optional Helsinki extension on Tom of Finland and the city’s queer history.

All 10 tours are currently open for booking; 52 more 2028 departures follow in late November.
