Halloween Horror Nights returns to Universal Orlando with 10 all-new haunted houses, eerie scare zones and live shows, cementing its status as one of the industry’s most spine-tingling annual events.
The new haunted houses are based on themes that range from “Five Nights at Freddy’s” to WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks. In the Five Nights at Freddy’s haunted house, guests will step into the story of Mike, a night security guard at the abandoned Freddy Fazbear’s Pizzeria, where they’ll face eerie corridors, supernatural encounters and a descent into a chilling nightmare. They’ll come face-to-face with full-scale replicas of the characters from the film, which were created in collaboration with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, who also masterfully produced the animatronics and corresponding costumes for the fan-favorite film.
In the WWE Presents: The Horrors of The Wyatt Sicks haunted house, guests will go head-to-head with Uncle Howdy in an experience that not only features The Wyatt Sicks, but honors the legacy of Bray Wyatt. Guests will encounter each twisted member of The Wyatt Sicks—including Ramblin Rabbit, Mercy the Buzzard, Abby the Witch, and Huskus the Pig—while The Fiend lurks in the shadows, creating an experience rooted in one of WWE’s most unsettling storylines.
Other new haunted houses at this year’s Halloween Horror Nights include Fallout, based on the Prime Video series of the same name, where guests will navigate a post-apocalyptic wasteland filled with key scenes and characters from the series; Jason Universe, which will take guests on a vengeance tour throughout the summer camp to see where it all began; and Terrifier, where the twisted world of ‘Art the Clown’ will come to life.
The horrors, though, are not contained to the haunted houses, with scares zones that range from “The Origins of Horror” (think monsters and chainsaw artists) to “The Cat Lady of Crooked Lane” (think creepy pet cemetery). There are also all-new street experiences—watch out for the zombies—and live entertainment (hope you’re not creeped out by clowns).
This Universal Orlando event will run 48 select nights from Aug. 29 through Nov. 2. Single-night tickets, a variety of Fear Passes and event-inclusive vacation packages are on sale now. Event upgrades such as Universal Express Passes, the R.I.P Tour, Premium Scream Night (only on Aug. 28)and the Behind the Screams: Unmasking the Horror Tour are also available.
