Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi is marking its 125th anniversary with a series of guest experiences, special dining concepts and cultural programming designed to showcase the property’s heritage while driving new visitation to the historic hotel. Running throughout 2026 under the theme “125 Years of a Legend,” the initiative includes limited-time stay packages, wellness treatments, culinary offerings and exhibitions commemorating the landmark’s legacy since opening in 1901.

Anchoring the celebrations is the new Live the Legend package, available for bookings and stays through Sept. 30. The offer includes daily breakfast, lunch at Spice Garden, the hotel’s Path of History tour of its wartime bomb shelter led by the resident historian, along with early check-in, late check-out and a room upgrade.

“We are thrilled to open a new chapter in the Metropole’s legendary story,” said George Koumendakos, GM of Sofitel Legend Metropole Hanoi, in a media statement. “For 125 years this hotel has been the beating heart of Hanoi—witnessing history, welcoming the world, and setting the standard for refined hospitality. This anniversary allows us to honor that remarkable legacy while inviting guests to experience the timeless soul of the Metropole in fresh, unforgettable ways as we look confidently to the future.”

Several of the hotel’s restaurants and bars have also launched anniversary menus. Le Beaulieu, believed to be Vietnam’s oldest continuously operating restaurant, is serving a 3-course menu featuring classic French dishes. Spice Garden has introduced a signature pho with broth simmered for 125 hours, while Le Club Bar has added a new “1901” burger and “The Last Telegram” cocktail to its menu. Bamboo Bar’s new “Carnet de Voyage” cocktail collection pays tribute to the travels of Metropole co-founder Andre Ducamp, and angelina has debuted “Metropole Liquid Chapters,” a cocktail menu inspired by milestones in the hotel’s history.

The anniversary also extends to the property’s wellness offerings. Le Spa du Metropole has introduced Sensations Orientales, a new 90-minute treatment combining Eastern-inspired wellness techniques with French spa rituals.

As part of the celebration, the 358-room hotel has launched a series of historical exhibitions highlighting its evolution over the past 125 years. The first, which opened in June, features archival photography documenting the property from the colonial era through the present day. Additional exhibitions showcasing painting, photography and mixed-media works exploring Hanoi’s cultural heritage and the Indochine period will be unveiled throughout the year.

The anniversary program also includes a limited-edition retail collection available through La Boutique and L’Epicerie, along with a commemorative history book and the launch of Le Petit Journal, a bi-monthly publication highlighting the hotel’s history, anniversary events and ongoing programming.
