Rocky Mountaineer will debut a new limited-time rail journey, Passage to the Peaks, operating for four weeks in summer 2026. The route offers travelers a luxury train experience through Banff and Jasper National Parks, showcasing the scenery of the Canadian Rockies.
Passage to the Peaks
The journey begins and ends in the mountain towns of Banff and Jasper, with two days aboard Rocky Mountaineer’s glass-dome trains and an overnight stay in Kamloops, British Columbia. Along the way, guests will see highlights including the Continental Divide, Yellowhead Pass, Pyramid Falls, Mount Robson, Rogers Pass, Kicking Horse Canyon, the Spiral Tunnels, glaciers and snow-capped peaks.
Passage to the Peaks will operate on select dates between June 10 and July 10, 2026, with departures alternating between Banff and Jasper. During this period, Rocky Mountaineer will also continue to run its First Passage to the West (Vancouver–Banff) and Journey through the Clouds (Vancouver–Jasper) routes on a reduced schedule.
The new route will be available as a standalone two-day, one-night experience or as part of longer vacation packages of up to 10 days and nine nights in the Canadian Rockies. Passage to the Peaks provides a limited opportunity to book clients on an exclusive rail journey through some of Canada’s most iconic landscapes.
