Seabourn has announced its 2026 roster of celebrated writers, broadcasters, historians and cultural experts joining its Authors at Sea and Seabourn Conversations programs.
The lineup includes award-winning novelist Ann Cleeves OBE, Clare Balding CBE, Joanne Harris OBE and Louise Penny, among others, who will host interactive workshops, exclusive events and onboard conversations throughout the year.
Both programs offer guests the chance to interact with acclaimed writers and guest speakers through engaging talks, hands-on workshops and intimate gatherings such as shared meals and shore excursions.
“Conversation has always been at the heart of the Seabourn experience, where travelers share their adventures and discoveries,” said Joseph Chantry, Seabourn’s Vice President of Entertainment and Enrichment, in a press release statement. “Our Authors at Sea program brings celebrated writers on board to connect with guests through engaging discussions and interactive sessions. We are committed to creating extraordinary experiences and memorable moments at sea, and these authors will bring fascinating insights and entertaining moments to inspire our guests throughout their voyage.”
The Authors at Sea program will include author Ann Cleeves OBE aboard the Seabourn Ovation departing on May 20, 2026 from Dover to Reykjavik. Ann will host hands-on Crime Writing workshops and a live Murder Mystery event. Joanne Harris OBE, author of more than 20 novels, will be aboard the Seabourn Venture, departing on June 11, 2026 from Barcelona to Gijon. Lady Sandra Howard was a top international model in the 1960s and is now a novelist and freelance journalist. She will be aboard the Seabourn Quest sailing from Lisbon to Miami on November 10, 2026. Former Broadcaster and New York Times best-selling author Louise Penny will be aboard Seabourn Encore sailing from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City on February 1, 2026.
The Seabourn Conversations program will include award-winning broadcaster and author Clare Balding CBE aboard Seabourn Encore, sailing on March 16, 2026 from Tokyo to Yokohama. Portrait painter Richard Stone will be aboard Seabourn Ovation sailing from Dover to Greenock on June 27, 2026. While wine writer, author and broadcaster Will Lyons will be about Seabourn Ovation sailing from Greenock to Dover on July 4, 2026.
