Riviera Travel has announced plans to expand into Asia with the launch of Riviera Alba. The new ship will begin sailing the Mekong River in 2027, marking the company’s first foray into Southeast Asia.
Carrying 50 guests in 25 suites, Riviera Alba will feature panoramic river views, an open-air sun deck, pool and jacuzzi, a spa, library and multiple dining options of both international and Asian cuisine.

The ship will sail Riviera’s new Vietnam, Cambodia and Mekong River Cruise itinerary, a 13-night program that includes guided visits in Phnom Penh, Siem Reap’s Angkor Wat temples and lesser-known villages along the river. In total, 14 guided experiences will showcase both iconic landmarks and authentic local culture.
The announcement follows Riviera’s recent unveiling of the world’s first dedicated solo cruise ship.
