Regent Seven Seas Launches Pastry Training Program

Regent Seven Seas Cruises is investing in its culinary program with the launch of the Floating Pastry Academy, a three-year training initiative designed to enhance the pastry and baking skills of culinary professionals across its fleet.

Developed in partnership with The Butter Book, the academy combines digital instruction, hands-on evaluations and mentorship. The curriculum covers techniques ranging from artisanal fermentation and classical patisserie to chocolate artistry and plated desserts, with an emphasis on consistency and precision.

Elevating Culinary Offerings at Sea

The program is part of Regent’s broader focus on elevating its onboard culinary offerings and professional development. Pastry and baking play a prominent role across the line’s dining experiences, from afternoon tea and petit fours at Chartreuse to specialty treats served at Coffee Connection.

“Our guests trust Regent to deliver excellence in every moment of their journey, and this partnership extends that promise down to the smallest detail on their plate,” said Wesley D’Silva, President, Regent Seven Seas Cruises, in a press statement. “Long-term thinking such as this keeps us at the forefront of ultra-luxury travel.

The academy comes as Regent continues to expand and refine its culinary offerings. New dining concepts, including Azure, are also part of the line’s upcoming fleet enhancements. Azure will debut aboard the new Seven Seas Prestige, which is scheduled to join the fleet in 2026.
