Margaritaville at Sea has revealed the homeport for its newest flagship, Beachcomber: PortMiami. Beginning in 2027, Beachcomber will offer 4- to 8-night itineraries to all-new ports, including St. Maarten, St. Thomas, San Juan and Puerto Plata, among others.
“The arrival of Beachcomber at PortMiami marks an exciting next step in our growth story,” Christopher Ivy, CEO of Margaritaville at Sea, tells Recommend. “Miami is the world’s most connected cruise hub, which means easier access for guests flying in from across the U.S. and around the globe. With this new homeport, we’re able to introduce longer Eastern and Southern Caribbean itineraries while staying true to the laid-back, escapist experience that defines Margaritaville at Sea.
“Travel advisors,” he continues, “can present Beachcomber sailings as the brand’s most immersive vacations yet. With predominantly 7-night itineraries and vibrant destinations across the Eastern and Southern Caribbean, these sailings are designed for guests who want to slow down, enjoy more time at sea and truly settle into the Margaritaville state of mind.”
Beachcomber’s first voyages are now available to book, with 2027 departures visiting Philipsburg, St. Maarten; St. Thomas, USVI; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic; Bimini, Bahamas; Oranjestad, Aruba; Kralendijk, Bonaire; and Willemstad, Curaçao.
The new ship will be the largest one in the fleet, with 15 new venues and reimagined dining. Ivy tells us that when it comes to its biggest selling points, advisors should focus on “the onboard atmosphere. Advisors can confidently share that Beachcomber was designed to capture the spirit of escapism at every turn. From the staterooms to the top deck, guests will feel immersed in the Margaritaville lifestyle, with fresh design elements inspired by nostalgic beach scenes, surf culture and a carefree sense of fun. Beachcomber builds on the award-winning look and feel we introduced with Islander in 2024, while offering even more space and experiences to enjoy.”
Beachcomber will be the third ship in the Margaritaville at Sea fleet and the third Florida homeport for the cruise line, with Paradise sailing out of Palm Beach to Key West and The Bahamas and the Islander sailing out of Tampa to Mexico and the Western Caribbean.
