Norwegian Cruise Line has officially unveiled Norwegian Aura, the largest and longest ship in its fleet, and opened bookings for the highly anticipated newbuild. The next-generation Prima Class vessel will debut in Europe in late May 2027 before homeporting in Miami in June 2027.
Norwegian Aura will accommodate 3,840 guests at double occupancy—making it 10 percent larger than sister ships Norwegian Aqua and Norwegian Luna.
Aura’s Features and Offerings
Ocean Heights is a first-in-the-fleet, open-air activity complex spanning decks 18 through 21. The multi-level venue transforms from a daytime adventure zone into a vibrant nighttime gathering space, featuring immersive lighting and LED projections.
Ocean Heights will house five waterslides and will also feature an 82-foot ropes course, rock climbing wall, mini golf, carnival-style games and overhanging private cabanas.
Another standout is Ocean Boulevard, the Prima Class wraparound outdoor promenade on deck eight, which has been expanded by 11 percent compared to earlier ships. Enhancements include additional seating, new hot tubs, a brand-new bar and an expanded Infinity Beach.
Pool and sundeck spaces have also been significantly enlarged. Norwegian Aura’s main pool deck will be more than 20 percent larger than those aboard Aqua and Luna, offering increased seating, additional infinity hot tubs and a larger LED screen. The adults-only Vibe Beach Club will be 15 percent larger, featuring expanded lounging areas, infinity hot tubs and a waterfall feature.
For luxury travelers, The Haven by Norwegian will feature 30 percent more suites than previous Prima Class ships—the most in the fleet. The keycard-access-only enclave includes a private sundeck, infinity pool, dedicated restaurant and 24-hour butler and concierge service.
Following her inaugural Mediterranean sailing from Trieste to Barcelona in May 2027, Norwegian Aura will cross the Atlantic before launching Caribbean cruises from Miami. Itineraries will include visits to Great Stirrup Cay, NCL’s recently enhanced private island, or Harvest Caye in Belize—giving travel advisors fresh options to sell one of NCL’s most ambitious ships yet.
